I appreciated that the room was spotlessly clean with comfortable bed, the bedroom, the bar. The service was excellent! It was nice that wake up service and ironing were for free too.

This is my fifth time staying at the White Sands and cannot speak highly enough of the Hotel and staff. It is in a fantastic location close to the Portmarnock Strand and across the road from the Portmarnock Golf Course. It is 2 kms to Malahide village with its many shops and restuarants. The Hotel has a fantastic veranda area at the front overlooking Dublin Bay and Portmarnock Strand and a wonderful bar and lounge area to look after every needs.
Leaving for home !!!!!

I thought the staff were very helpful.
Unfortunately, 2 fire alarms went off during the night and we were also sleeping under what I assume was the geyser room and the geysers seem to be making a lot of noise (as if the pipes were being tightened)... Loud squealing noises from the geysers from around 3:30 through until 9 am (room 233 and 234)

The staff was cute, yet there were
Some hiccups with service during busy hours. Our room was newly remodeled and comfortable, though one staff member wasn't as friendly. A pleasant experience balanced by room issues and dining wait times.

The main hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.
The following day we met with family in the bar were we overcharged for food and when we complained to the bar manager Noel he fobbed us off not wanting to know our complaint and then refused to serve us after that as he said we were being rude. Would never return as a result

My kids wished the hotel offered more family-friendly activities. A kids' playroom or activity center would have.

The location is superb and the hotel is in good proximity to the airport.
It was late November and the hotel could have been warmer.

The location near the beautiful beach. While the room showed signs of age, the generous space and lovely views made up for it. The staff's attentiveness was admirable.
